Paintings on raw linen

Independent studio work in oil, graphite, and mineral pigments, developed over deliberate months under natural north light.

Selected pieces

Recent studio output

Original compositions on heavy linen, preliminary drawings on cold-pressed cotton paper, and strictly limited archival pigment editions.

Material practice

Patience before pigment

Every canvas begins with unbleached linen stretched by hand across kiln-dried cedar stretchers. Sizing and ground layers cure over several weeks before oil glazes touch the surface.

Working exclusively with cold north daylight preserves accurate chromatic values. Drawings test geometric tension and weight before larger works commit to pigment.
